About The Process
ACI Payments, Inc. forms partnerships with governments, utilities, education providers, and other payment collecting organizations nationwide to provide their customers with the ability to pay electronically by credit card, debit card, and electronic check. By clicking Make a Payment from the Payment Center menu above, you will be guided through our fast, easy, secure six-step payment process. The status indicator at the top of these pages will track your progress.

Step 1: Select Service
ACI Payments, Inc. groups the organizations that you can make payments to into three divisions: Federal, State, and Local Payments.

Select Federal Payments for all personal and business taxes due to the Internal Revenue Service.

Select State Payments for all personal, business and other taxes and fees due to a state collecting authority.

Select Local Payments for all local taxes, citations, court fees, utilities payments, education payments, parks and recreation fees, permitting and licensing fees, and other collection types.

After choosing State or Local payments, you will be asked to select the collecting organization you are paying from a series of dropdown menus.

Step 2: Enter Amount
Simply enter the amount you wish to pay and select the payment option that's convenient for you.

Step 3: Accept Terms
ACI Payments, Inc. will calculate and present the convenience fee that applies to your payment based on input from Steps 1 and 2. We will also present the Terms and Conditions of using our services. Click “Accept” to proceed with your payment.

Step 4: Provide Details
On this page, you will be asked to provide personal information, payment identifying information, and the credit card, debit card, or bank account you intend to pay with. This information is required so that ACI Payments, Inc. can authorize your payment, and so that our partners can easily identify your payment when it is received.

Step 5: Confirm Details
All of the information you have entered is represented for a final confirmation before the payment is submitted. When you click “Submit” ACI Payments, Inc. will authorize the payment with your card-issuer in real time. This process will only take a few seconds.

Step 6: Digital Receipt
ACI Payments, Inc. will issue a unique confirmation number for your payment as part of a digital receipt, which can be kept for recordkeeping purposes. A printer-friendly version is available and only the final digits of your card or account information is redisplayed.
